Donated works of art are auctioned off and proceeds benefit Project Angel Heart, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing fresh meals to those living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life threatening illnesses, as well as to the program initiatives of AIGA Colorado. Interested artists are cordially invited to design a piece of memorable artwork for CHAC's 13th annual silent auction fundraiser! CHAC provides a blank wooden heart, for a donation of $3.00 to cover supplies, which you will then turn into a magnificent masterpiece! CHAC asks that you please do not design your heart as a valentine, but that you make it representational of your body of work. Do what you do best! Be sure to cover the entire wooden surface and make your art community friendly. CHAC has a limited number of hearts this year so pick yours up early!
You are also invited to submit original artwork, goods or services, baskets or items for baskets. Your donation of these items to CHAC's fundraiser will all be tax deductible.
Pick up a blank heart at CHAC Gallery, 772 Santa Fe Drive, Denver anytime during regular gallery hours: Wed.-Thurs. 10am-4pm, Fri. 10am-5pm, Sat. Noon-4pm.
Entries will be accepted during regular business hours until Wednesday, Feb. 8. Drop off your completed heart, or any donated items mentioned above, to CHAC to be donated to the silent auction that will take place Friday, Feb. 10 at Space Gallery, 765 Santa Fe Drive, 7-9:30pm. Douglas County Art Encounters 2012-2013

Art Encounters is a year-long outdoor sculpture exhibit that showcases a number of sculptures, in various media and styles, displayed in highly visible areas in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Parker. The project is designed to promote public interest in art, develop community pride and draw visitors to the retail or civic areas where they are displayed. Details.
Bike Art at the Dairy

The Dairy Center for the Arts, Boulder CO, celebrates Boulders two-wheeler culture of bicycle enthusiasm, fitness and competition with a juried exhibition of Bicycle Art. Art in all mediums will be considered. Images of bicycles, bicycle events and culture, art made from bicycle parts, etc. all will be considered and judged based on creativity, originality and execution. Richeson75 International Art 2012 Competitions

The Richeson75 Competitions are meant to offer a venue in which established and emerging artists may show their latest, best work to a wide and appreciative audience. The 75 finalists for each regular contest will exhibit their work in our beautiful Richeson Gallery and in the Online exhibit. The Richeson 75 Competitions are open to all artists over age 18. All work entered must be original in concept/ execution and have been created since January 1, 2010. No work done in a class, workshop or under supervision is eligible. Work shown previously at Richeson School of Art and Gallery are not accepted. Employees of Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. are not eligible for the exhibit. An artist IS eligible for a prize in each media entered/juried in, but may only win one prize in each category. Winners of any Richeson 75 Best In Show award are ineligible for awards for a 2 year period following that win.
