Payment Methods
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for online orders.

Is it possible to pay by check?
Yes. You are welcome to call us at 1(800) 950-2787 (ARTS) ext.150 and make arrangements to mail us a check. Remember, however, your order will not be processed until payment is received.

When is my credit card charged?
Your card is charged just before we ship your order.

Is it safe to use my credit card online?
Yes, using your credit card at www.meininger.com is safe. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology that encrypts your account information.

Taxes
Do you charge sales tax?
We are required to collect sales tax for orders being shipped to locations in Colorado (2.9%). Because we have a store in Denver, we must also collect tax for orders being shipped to the city of Denver (3.5%) and within the RTD (1.2%). Orders shipping to Colorado Springs or elsewhere in El Paso county, must also pay the appropriate tax (2.5% for Colorado Springs and 1% for El Paso county with a new PPRTA (1%) as of 01/01/05).

Can I purchase items for resale through your online catalog?
Yes, you may buy items for resale as long as you furnish the appropriate tax license numbers. Within Colorado, but outside the cities of Denver and Colorado Springs, you must furnish a Colorado state resale number. For Denver and Colorado Springs, we require a city/county license or a city license, respectively. Please furnish the required tax information in the "Message" section of your order. Although tax will be automatically calculated initially, we will adjust the amounts before you are charged.

Pricing
Can I get a special discount for buying a large quantity of an item?
Quantity discounts are automatically applied to qualifying items.

Do you offer a student discount?
No. We offer the same low prices to all of our customers.

I am a teacher buying supplies for my school. Do I get any special pricing?
In an effort to promote art education, Meininger's has set up a special discount for both private and public schools. To qualify, the materials must be purchased with school funds, i.e. school credit card, check, or house account.

Catalog
Do you offer a printed catalog?
No, we do not offer a printed version of our art supplies catalog. We are, however, adding products daily to our online catalog.

Finding Products
How do I find a product on your web site?
Using the categories list on the left side of our store pages you can search for items based on broad department categories. Clicking on those gives you brands, then types of products and finally, sizes or individual items. Also, we feature a keyword search with an advanced search option.

What should I do if I can't find a product on your web site?
Although we continually are adding products to our web site, there may be times when you can't find what you are looking for. Feel free to email us or call us at 1(800) 950-2787 (ARTS) for that special request.

Do you ever do special orders?
Meininger's does do special orders. Special orders are defined as orders of items not regularly stocked, unusual quantities of items, or custom products such as engraved pens or custom-built, stretched canvas. Special orders may take three to five weeks and you are responsible for shipping costs. Due to manufacturer's minimums, the order may not be placed immediately. We require prepayment (credit card number) and special orders are not returnable. Feel free to email us or call us at 1(800) 950-2787 (ARTS) for more information about your specific special order.

Shipping
How long will it take to receive my order?
Shipping time depends on where you live and the service level you select. Once we receive your order, it may take up to 48 hours to process. We encourage you to use UPS's Time in Transit calculator to determine the shipping time from zip code 80203 to your location. By adding the 48 hour processing time and time in transit information, you can approximate when you will receive your order.

How will I know that my order has been shipped?
In our Online Store, sign in using your email address and password, then click “View Order Status and History,” select the order and click “Track.”

How do I track my order?
You can track your package with UPS's tracking utility. Use the number beginning with "1Z" provided in your tracking details.

How much do you charge for shipping?
Most shipping charges are based on your order's subtotal. Please email us or contact Internet Customer Service at 1(800) 950-2787 ext.150 for next- and second-day shipment costs that are quoted and are based on weight and destination. Please refer to our shipping policy for more detailed information.

Backorders
What happens if the product I ordered is out of stock?
Occasionally, we must backorder an item that is out of stock. If more than one item is backordered, we will wait until all items have arrived and ship a complete backorder via ground service at that time. Since shipping charges are figured based on the initial order's subtotal, any shipping charges for the backordered items will have already been paid for. No additional shipping charges will be added to that backorder.

Returns
What is your return policy?
Meininger's offers a 30-day money back guarantee for any reason with the following exceptions: No returns will be accepted of projectors, mat cutters or portfolios unless they are returned for an upgrade. Also, books, Gift Cards, special orders, and custom products are non-returnable. For more information on how to complete a return, click here.

If I buy something online, can I return it at one of your retail stores?
Yes, Meininger's offers the same return policy for our online and in-store customers.

Retail Store
Do you have a retail store?
Meininger's, in addition to the online store, does have two retail locations. One store is located at 499 Broadway in Denver, Colorado. The other, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is at 201 So. Weber Street. The Denver store is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 7 pm (MST), Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday 12 noon to 5 pm. The Colorado Springs location is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm (MST), Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, and closed on Sundays. You are always welcome to call 1(800) 950-2787 (ARTS).
