Fabric Painting with Golden Fluid Acrylics Lesson Plan
Create your own unique self-expression on fabric! Make your mark on clothing, canvas totes or bags, create flags, banners, patches, room dividers, curtains…the list goes on!
MATERIALS
Canvas – cut to 8”x10” Montgomery 8.25oz bulk canvas (sold by the foot)
A smooth backer-board to tape canvas onto. (Similar to a pre-stretched canvas to paint on; especially needed for painting t-shirts due to fabric slipping or bunching while painting, it’s just easier and takes away the frustration factor!)
Golden Artist Colors Airbrush Medium
Golden Artist Colors Fluid Acrylics – works best with the medium and easy application
Acrylic paint brush(es)
Jars with lids for mixing medium with paints (paint will dry if left open)!
Craft sticks for mixing – important to keep the paint stirred – you can also use smooth stones, stainless steel nuts, or marbles as a mixing ball
Tape – artist or painters tape for adhering the cloth to the mounting board
MESS QUOTIENT = LOW
Clean up brushes – soap and water
Clean up spills and drips (if any), of paint
No heat set required!
